Open Enrollment for ACA Health Insurance Coverage Ends Soon

Insurance Bubble

Hi there! Just a friendly reminder that if you were considering signing up for a health insurance plan through the marketplace, you have until December 15th, 2019 to make a final decision. Open enrollment will be closing on December 15th!

There are lots of offerings on the health insurance marketplace at HealthCare.gov. Even just a “catastrophic” plan can help you cover costs of medication and doctor’s visits in the case of an emergency or an accident. Other plans are also available, such as standard health insurance plans, family plans, even dental plans.

New Hampshire is one of the states with a variety of providers including Anthem, Assurant Health, Time Insurance, and more. All you have to do is fill out an application and you can see what kind of plans are available to you.

Don’t forget that many individuals can benefit from a decrease in rates by taking advantage of discounts available to their particular income range. Not sure if you get a discount? Simply fill out an application on HealthCare.gov to see what you’re eligible for. Signing up for an account and filling out an application does not obligate you to sign up for a healthcare account through the ACA marketplace, but it does allow you to see your options!

Not sure what to get? You can also compare plans on the marketplace and view coverage information prior to signing up so you know exactly what you’re getting. Also check out this blog post on HealthCare.gov that explains some of the things you may want to know if you’re new to buying health insurance.

What if I miss open enrollment?

If you miss the open enrollment period, you can still apply for coverage based on life events. For example, losing health coverage or moving can qualify you for a special enrollment period. For more information about qualifying life events, check out this informative blog post on HealthCare.gov.

Does health insurance on the marketplace cover chiropractic care?

You may be surprised to know that chiropractic care, such as the care offered here at Progressive Spine & Rehab Center, is often covered under most health insurance plans. Make sure to check your coverage prior to signing up, however, to ensure that you can continue getting better faster and staying better longer!
